Violet Loves Vintage
Yesterday I ventured over to the up and coming Fountain Square neighborhood for First Fridays to check out the local boutiques. I’d been asked to book some models for a fashion showing and decided to visit them to see how they were doing. The girls were showcasing clothes at Indy SWANK, a fairly new boutique located in the Murphy building. I was expecting an uptight crowd and overpriced clothes but what I found was soooo much better!!! The diverse crowd was a mix of college students and art lovers but best of all Indy SWANK is a VINTAGE boutique! Violet hearts Vintage! Throughout the evening people trickled in and out of the store in heavy rotation. The wine and loud music actually made me feel like I was at an event in New York City. The lines at the register were long but the 50% off sale made the wait well worth it. I managed to snag a fabulous gold belt for $8 and I can’t wait to wear it! The store is owned and operated by Jennifer Rice Von Deylen and offers a mixture of vintage clothes, shoes, handbags, furniture and much more. Outside of the designer sleepwear no two pieces are the same. I definitely recommend checking out this boutique if you love unique and vintage pieces.
